Here is a simple step by step of my scraperboard technique. This is the initial pencil drawing of Gort an Choirce>>
Once I’ve transferred it to a piece of black scraperboard>> I begin scraping out the white areas
More white is gradually revealed……..

Adjustments made, the piece is now finished.

I currently have a small pop up exhibition in The Wine Buff >>
The shop is located on the Triangle in Ranelagh. If you like wine it’s a really great store.
The work will be on display there till January, please call in if you are passing.

I just finished hanging my solo show yesterday in The United Arts Club.
Thanks to Angel Loughery the clubs Arts Convenor for all her help and encouragement.
Also Thanks to Tony Strickland and Sarah Leahy for helping to promote my first solo show in the UAC.
An extra big Thanks to PJ for doing the opening.
The show will open on Thursday.
The work is mostly influenced by the fast disappearing vernacular buildings from around the Gort a’Choirce>> area of North West Donegal, where my family originates from.
