I heard that London’s Evening Standard is ceasing to appear every weekday, as it has for almost 200 years.
When I lived in London back in the 1990’s I was commissioned to do a Scraperboard for the mast head of Eros in Piccadilly Circus (…which is actually Anteros).
My illustration appeared as the mast head on every issue for a number of years, as well as on the all the vans and sellers stands round London.
Sorry to hear it will no longer be a daily newspaper, but that is the way things have gone in this digital age.
